along the Oregon Coast

Although we are trying to live a small life in a smallspace on a large island, sometimes it is nice to get off the rock, take a boat to a new country and hit the open road.

Oregon calls. Vast, windswept, foggy beaches. Craggy, giant, haystack rocks. "Cheap beer and fireworks" American Charm. All things to like.

We came to consider the second stop of our trip the ideal "Vancant" spot-- so good that we stayed a few days-- a sand parking lot beside a pub, a surf break out front, a state park to the right, and all the amenities up the road. There was even an outdoor hot shower.
